The Tree Has Been Cut!

November 6, 2010 - The U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree was cut down this morning from Bridger-Teton National Forest! Thanks to the hard work and skill of Wyoming Landscape Contractors, Encana, Hemphill Trucking and the U.S. Forest Service, the Tree was successfully cut, placed on a truck and pulled out of BTNF to the town of Jackson for the first community celebration.

Thousands of Jackson residents awaited the arrival of the Tree and the celebration included music, food and a sled dog send-off! Thanks to Mayor Mark Barron and everyone with the Town and Chamber of Commerce for all their hard work in putting together this fantastic event! Wednesday the Tree heads out to tour Wyoming!
